Dentures
Ensure the perfect fit for your denture!
A denture is a restorative appliance for replacing missing teeth. One might not know it, but missing teeth can have a very negative effect on your oral health, general health and your personality. If you’re missing some of your teeth, our Kanata dentist might recommend a partial denture. For those who are missing all their teeth, our dentist will recommend a complete denture. We will discuss all your options with you , including your preference for removable or implant-retained fixed dentures, depending on your oral health, the condition of your remaining teeth, and your budget.
Complete Dentures:
As you age, complete dentures may become loose because of the natural changes that occur over time to jaw structure, bone levels and gums. While it may be possible to adjust your denture according to these changes, stabilizing the denture with dental implants may be the option that is right for you. Dental implants provide the much needed anchorage for a solid and stable denture. (delete)-regardless of any changes that might occur to your bone tissue).
Partial Dentures:
If you have several remaining teeth in good condition, they can be used to help support a partial denture that will restore proper chewing function.
For those of you that are missing only a few teeth, we are pleased to be able to offer metal-free Valplast dentures as a new option. Valplast dentures are made of a light, flexible material that is highly aesthetic, & very comfortable, making them ideal for first-time denture users.
Regardless of which option you chose, partial, complete, or implant-supported dentures require several visits of preparatory work to successfully provide you with a perfect fit. We will make sure you leave the Hazeldean Family Dental Centre with a comfortably fitted denture that looks, feels and functions just like your original teeth.
